Blitzbokke win CT Sevens Series

CAPE TOWN - South Africa beat Argentina 29-14 and won the inaugural Cape Town's Sevens event in front of a boisterous crowd.

The Blitzbokke capped off a wonderful Cape Town Sevens event by beating Argentina.

The buzz from the crowd can only be described as electric and the home side fed-off that energy.

Argentina scored the first try of the match after a frenetic start.

The Blitzbokke hit back soon after with two Rosco Spekman tries and another from Seabelo Senatla. However, the Argentinians scored on the stroke of halftime making the score 17-14.

South Africa came out with intent in the second half dominating possession and were rewarded when Senatla got his second.

Argentina tried their best but a Ryno Benjamin try sealed a Blitzboks win.

The Blitzbokke now join Fiji at the top of the World Series log.
