NSRI: Search for missing Strand teen continues
The National Sea Rescue Institute’s Craig Lambinon said the boy is presumed to have drowned.
CAPE TOWN - Police and emergency services will this morning resume their search for a 17-year-old boy went missing while swimming in the Strand area.
The teen apparently ran into trouble while swimming with friends yesterday.
The National Sea Rescue Institute's (NSRI) Craig Lambinon said the boy is presumed to have drowned.
"A despite extensive search which included a rescue helicopter, NSRI boats, law enforcement and police divers, including Canon Search and Rescue team found no sign of the teenager. A police dive team will continue the search with the NSRI assisting today."
