Case against UWC students postponed
Two groups of students appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court today.
CAPE TOWN - The cases against two groups of University of the Western Cape (UWC) students accused of wreaking havoc at the institution have been postponed until March.
Two groups of students, 11 and four respectively, appeared in the Bellville Magistrates Court today.
One of them was absent.
One of the accused wasn't present in court.
The magistrate postponed the matter until 2 March and has threatened to issue a warrant of arrest for the student.
One of the group's lawyers says the student's whereabouts are unknown.
Their bail of R3,000 each has been also extended.
