CAPE TOWN - Motorists travelling along Jan Smuts Drive are urged to exercise caution amid claims of stone-throwers near the N2.

Several cars have been struck.

Grace Cairns says she was hit while travelling from work.

"I didn't know if it was a gunshot, but there was just this massive noise and my windscreen shattered. I realised that a taxi in front of me had also stopped and I saw someone at the corner of my eye who was running away. I noticed there were rocks all over the road."
