JOHANNESBURG - Three people have been killed by a hippopotamus in Musina, near Beitbridge.
An eight-year-old boy was also critically injured during last night's attack.
Paramedics say the boy was found early this morning crying for help.
The child is now recovering in hospital.
ER24's Pieter Rossouw says it's unclear what led to the attack.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown, but local authorities were on scene for an investigation. Beitbridge is close to the Limpopo River, so it was probably a wild hippo that was in the area."
