7 more missing initiates found in Ennerdale
Today's finding brings to 17 the number of teenagers who've since been re-united with their families.
JOHANNESBURG - Seven of the 30 teenagers reported missing in and around Orange Farm have been found at two separate initiation schools near Ennerdale.
A total of 40 minors disappeared from their homes just over a week ago.
Today's find brings to 17 the number of teenagers who've since been re-united with their families.
Police say the seven teenagers were today found on a mountain used as a site for a legal initiation school.
The police's Johannes Motsiri says the minors have admitted to leaving home voluntarily.
He says boys usually run away from home to join initiation schools because they are being victimised at school for not having completed certain rituals.
"It starts from the ill treatment in schools… maybe they have been intimidated."
Police are yet to make any arrests as all the teenagers found so far say they ran away from home and were not kidnapped.
