Gautrain shuttle to operate between PTA & Hatfield
Power has been restored to one track after a truck crashed through a wall & damaged the infrastructure.
JOHANNESBURG - Gautrain management says power has been restored to a single operating track and a train shuttle will be operating between Pretoria and Hatfield today.
A cement truck crashed through a wall and damaged some of the railway infrastructure on Saturday.
While the truck driver was injured, no trains derailed.
Gautrain spokesperson Kesagee Nayager says they're still working on the other track.
"Repair works are still underway and we have not been able to restore power to both tracks. As a result, only one track is operational at the moment and we'll be shuttling commuters between Pretoria and Hatfield. "
