JOHANNESBURG - A movie scene in Sandton brought traffic to a halt this morning after scores of curious motorists slowed to get a closer look of a crashed UFO on the corner of Sandton Drive and William Nicol.

JMPD's Edna Mamonyane said filmmakers have constructed what looks like a crash scene on the side of the road.

"There's something that they built overnight, they call it a flying saucer and it looks like a unique helicopter. It looks as if it crashed on the piece of land but it's off the road, it's not causing obstruction, just causing delays because of spectator value."

Traffic has been severely backed up from Republic Road moving towards Sandton.

Guys, I really don't think a UFO has crashed on cnr Sandton and William Nicol. Pretty sure it's a film shoot.

Meanwhile, Capetonians saw a green lit UFO hovering above the city centre on Sunday.

People in Durban and Soweto also witnessed the very same green lights.
