19 MP teachers guilty of sexual misconduct in past 3 years
The department says the teachers have been handed different sanctions depending on each case.
JOHANNESBURG - The Mpumalanga Education Department has confirmed 19 of its teachers have been found guilty of sexual misconduct in the past three years.
It says the teachers have been handed different sanctions depending on the merit of each case.
Some of the punishments include suspension without pay and outright dismissals.
The department's Jasper Zwane says, "We can confirm that when we are informed of such activities, we work around the clock to send a message that says such actions are unwarranted, prohibited and not allowed within the profession."
