Masiphumelele matrics return home as exams conclude
About 200 learners had to be moved due to violent protests in the community.
CAPE TOWN - The last of the matrics who have been writing exams at a camp site in Glencairn have returned home.
The matric exams wrapped up with the history paper today.
Hired transport was loaded with luggage as the school teachers prepared to vacate the camp site.
Deputy Principal Skahle Nhlabathi and 201 matric learners have been living at the rotary youth camp for the past six weeks.
"It was better to take them away and move to a place like this, as it is quiet and away from the township. Also, their minds were refreshed."
