Remembering the Mamelodi Massacre
Michael Seloane, a survivor of the massacre, spoke to 702's John Robbie about what happened that day.
CAPE TOWN - Mike Seloane is a survivor of the Mamelodi Massacre where at least 30,000 residents were shot at while protesting against high rent, the banning of funerals, and service charges in 1985.
"It's a day that can never be forgotten, because from that day 21 November 1985, Mamelodi has never been the same."
Seloane, now a public service commissioner, looks back at the events leading up to the massacre.
