JOHANNESBURG - Striking Pikitup workers say they will continue demonstrating despite a court interdict preventing them from taking part in protest action.

Workers downed tools again today to take a stand over salaries and working conditions.

South African Municipal Workers' Union (Samwu) affiliated workers also want the managing director to resign.

Workers have vowed to continue tomorrow.

"Court interdicts will never make us stop. If we have to go, we'll even take our issues to [President Jacob] Zuma."
