CAPE TOWN - The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) says all end of year exams will now be written at its Bellville and Wellington campuses and at the Wingfield Military Base in Goodwood.

These exams had previously been scheduled to take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The sessions will begin on Monday.

Weeks of protests by students across the country have forced CPUT to make alternative exam arrangements this year.

The university's Lauren Kansley says they've communicated these changes to students.

"Considering the stop and start nature of the exams because of the protests, the vice chancellor has granted permission for any student who wants to write in January."
