WC driver caught doing average speed of 191km/h
CapeTalk | WC provincial traffic chief Kenny Africa explains how speed-over-distance cameras helps to make roads safer.
CAPE TOWN - A man was arrested yesterday after he was caught an average speed of 191km/h between Touws River and Laingsburg.
The man was caught by the speed-over-distance cameras after he clocked up huge speeds on four separate occasions.
Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa says his team is determined to ensure that all roads are safe this festive season.
He says cameras helps officials to access registration numbers at any time and traffic officials are immediately informed when motorists drive at excessively high speeds.
In a separate incident, a truck driver was also stopped outside Worcester and attempted to bribe the traffic officer who arrested him.
