JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana's quest to qualify for 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia received positive signs after they beat Angola 1-0, (4-1 aggregate) last night at Moses Mabhida.

Bafana went into this match with a healthy two goal advantage from the first leg after a convincing 3-1 victory in Benguela on Friday.

The only goal of the match came in the second half after Shakes Mashaba's changes pressed the visitors until one of their defenders unwittingly diverted the ball into his own net.

Despite dominating position, South Africa couldn't openly score and were happy to walk away with a scrappy win.

South Africa will now have to wait for the world football body to come up with dates for the group stages draw.
