CAPE TOWN - A memorial service will be held for murdered Uitsig teenager, Justin Langley, later this week.

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the 17-year-old's death.

He was hacked to death outside his home after confronting a group of men he'd accused of attacking his uncle, Barren Langley, who also died of wounds sustained trying to protect his nephew.

Six people, including two minors, have been arrested for the killings.

Community leader David Van Wyk said, "We did not forget what happened in the area of Uitsig. We still remember them and also we support the family during these moments."
