JOHANNESBURG - The case against a man accused of taking part in an attack on two couples at Rhodes Park in Kensington has been postponed in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.

The accused is expected back in the dock in two weeks time when his lawyers will apply for bail.

He was allegedly part of a 12-member gang that killed two men and raped one woman at the park.

The other woman survived.

The accused will remain in police custody while additional documentation is finalised.

Both the prosecution and defence are awaiting permits proving that he is in the country legally.

The Zimbabwean national was arrested late last month for his alleged involvement in the attack.

He is accused, along with 11 others, of tying up the men up and drowning them.
