City Power official arrested for cable theft
Isaac Dube was arrested for alleged cable theft worth over R1 million.
JOHANNESBURG - A City Power manager has been arrested for alleged cable theft worth over R1 million.
The utility says Isaac Dube has was suspended after he was apparently found with four drum rolls of cable worth R350,000 each.
Dube, a security manager for risk and compliance, was arrested last week and appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court today.
City Power's Yumna Sheik said, "The suspension will remain enforced until court proceedings are finalised. The case was postponed to 11 November and he will remain in custody."
