JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks have arrested a Serbian man after he was allegedly found with high tech ATM card skimming devices and bank cards in Alberton.

The 50-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday night following a tip off from his neighbours.

Authorities believe he's part of a syndicate which they've been investigating for months.

The Hawks' Hangwani Mulaudzi says the man will appear in court today on charges including fraud, contravention of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act as well as the contravention of the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-related Information Act.

"There were about 1,500 cards that were also preloaded and lots of components of other devices that were in the process of being assembled as well."
