JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng's Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has heeded the call of protesting parents at Nooordgesig Primary School and agreed to a meeting.

Classes were disrupted at the Soweto school on Tuesday when some angry parents demanded answers over the alleged illegal circumcision of about 40 pupils.

They also called for Lesufi to step in.

Spokesperson Phumla Sekhonyane says the parents are expected to hand over a memorandum of grievances to the MEC at tomorrow's meeting.

"The MEC met with members of the community following protest yesterday, he then set up a meeting with them for tomorrow where all the issues that have been raised are going to be discussed."
