JOHANNESBURG - The case against a man arrested in connection with last month's Rhodes Park attack, has been postponed in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court.

He's accused of being part of a gang who killed two men and raped a woman at Rhodes Park in Kensington, in a case that shocked the community.

The 24-year-old was taken in for questioning on Friday and arrested over the weekend.

Wearing red pants and a black tracksuit top, the man appeared briefly in a small court room, before being escorted back to the holding cells.

Investigating officers are gathering more evidence ahead of his next appearance, in a week's time, when a date for a formal bail application may be discussed.

The man is accused of attacking two couples at a park in Kensington last month, along with 11 other men who are yet to be identified.

The two male victims were tied up and thrown in a dam.

One of the women was gang raped while the other managed to flee.
