CAPE TOWN - Some Cape Town roads continue to take a beating from the wet weather battering the province.

Strandfontein Road has been closed after the roadway collapsed following heavy rains earlier today.

It's believed the collapse was caused by over flooding at a nearby river.

The City's Richard Coleman said, "Goven Mbeki and New Ottery Road after the roadway collapsed. No one has been injured."
