Bloody weekend as 15 die on WC roads

The City of Cape Town has issued an advisory to motorists amid adverse weather conditions.

CAPE TOWN - It's been another bloody weekend on the roads in the Western Cape with 15 people confirmed dead since the start of this weekend.

In the most recent incident, one person died when a taxi and truck collided outside Beaufort West earlier today.

In Mitchell's Plain, a woman died when the taxi she was involved in an accident.

At the same time, the City of Cape Town has issued an advisory to motorists amid adverse weather conditions.

Provincial Traffic Chief, Kenny Africa said, "In Beaufort West a taxi and truck collided head on and the driver of the taxi lost his life."
