Taps may run dry as downpours get scarce

JOHANNESBURG - As Rand Water continues to advise consumers to use water sparingly, the South African Weather Service says it's not expecting significant rainfall anytime soon.

The persistent high temperatures and the lack of rainfall in the province has put a strain on Rand Water's bulk water supply system.

Forecasters say the country is experiencing below normal rainfall this season.
