Israeli fugitive caught in SA to apply for bail
Shay Moslie is wanted for crimes in Israel which include murder. He was arrested earlier this month.
JOHANNESBURG - An Israeli fugitive wanted on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder will apply for bail in Randburg Regional Court after being arrested by Interpol's extradition unit earlier this month.
Shay Moslie (33) is alleged to have committed the crimes in Israel three years ago and shortly afterwards, he fled to South Africa.
Police say Moslie is believed to have close links to the criminal underworld in his home country.
The police's Vish Naidoo says, "This man is wanted in Israel for at least three counts of murder, and four counts of attempted murder. He is also believed to be linked to the criminal underworld in Israel."
Naidoo adds that the arrest highlights the close working relationship between them and other Interpol member countries.
