Surfer survives shark attack in Stilbaai
He was airlifted to a hospital in George he's recovering after surgery.
CAPE TOWN - A man has undergone surgery after he was bitten by a shark in Stilbaai.
The man was surfing when he encountered the animal yesterday.
He was rescued by two National Sea Rescue Institute officials.
The institute's Craig Lambinon said, "He was bitten on the thigh, the right leg, knee and calf. He was airlifted to a hospital in George where he's recovering from surgery."
