12 died on WC roads this weekend

CAPE TOWN - Twelve people have died in car crashes across the Western Cape this weekend.

In the latest incident Ajax Cape Town soccer player Cecil Lolo and another motorist lost their lives in a collision on Spine Road near the N2 highway in Cape Town last night.

In another incident, a motorcyclist died in a collision in Knysna.

Western Cape traffic chief Kenny Africa says the majority of victim's were pedestrians.

"There was nine pedestrians that got killed in moto vehicle accidents."
