JOHANNESBURG - Protesters at Wits University have asked the media to leave a meeting between students as they formulate their plan of action for the day.

They have been addressed at the Senate House concourse by the SRC president who urged them to keep their energy up, as their protest enters the seventh day.

All media houses except for the Daily Vox have been asked to leave the room as students plan their movements for the day.

Incoming SRC president Nompendulo Mkatshwa has urged parents to support their struggle.

Mkatshwa says they are pushing to normalise the institution in time for exams scheduled to take place in less than ten days time.
