JOHANNESBURG - There are concerns that although the Springboks won their cup quarterfinal clash at the weekend, they left it till late to beat Wales, winning by 23 points to 19.

The Boks will next face rivals New Zealand in the semifinal.

On Saturday fans filled up public viewing areas to watch as Heyneke Meyer's men snatched victory over the welsh.

Fans that were gathered at Emirates Airline Park were kept on the edge of their seats as they watched the Springboks struggle to beat a gutsy Wales.

As the clock ticked on some people got to their feet urging the Boks to push on and at that moment the winning try was scored.

"I was very excited, I was on my nerves, and I couldn't believe we lost nine points and I thought that was it but yay we won." A fan said.

The semifinals will take place on 24 October.
