JOHANNESBURG - Former players have commended the Springboks following their win over Wales in the Rugby World Cup quarterfinal.

Trailing 13-12 at halftime, the Boks turned it around in the second half to win 23-19 last night at Twickenham.

They're now through to the semifinals where they'll face New Zeland.

Former Springbok flyhalf Errol Tobias says he was impressed by the team.

"It was a difficult one, we had to fight the bullet to get it and we kept our cool. It was a cruncher then of course [Handre] Pollard kicked very well."
