CAPE TOWN - Lobby group Right2Know Campaign, says some grant beneficiaries are still in the dark about whether they will be paid back after money was reportedly deducted from their social grants unlawfully.

The group will lead protest marches in Johannesburg and Cape Town on Thursday over the issue.

It claims grant administrator, Cash Paymaster Services, is fraught with corruption.

The campaign's Vainola Makan said, "There's no recourse system. Grants holders say the government is giving the social protection on their social grants, but now they're even stealing from the poor. What the government is now promising, is now being taken away."
