More arrested for hacking RTMC bank account
Over R8 million was stolen and 5 suspects have since been arrested & are standing trial in Pretoria.
CAPE TOWN - The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) says a number of arrests have been made after its bank account was hacked.
More than R8 million was then stolen.
This was recently revealed by the Auditor-General.
Five suspects have since been arrested and are standing trial in Pretoria.
The RTMC's Simon Zwane says, "It was an incident that happened last year and it was reported to the police and there were people that were arrested. Police investigations are also continuing to try and establish if there were more people that were involved."
