JOHANNESBURG - President Jacob Zuma has called on businesses to invest in the ANC in order to help the country's economy grow.

He was speaking at a Presidential gala dinner, ahead of the National General Council taking place this weekend.

Zuma says South Africa has done well in many aspects, and has improved on health and education.

He says economic targets are difficult to achieve and it's a trying period for most countries.

He adds that in order to help the economy grow, the country needs investment and therefore investing in the ANC is a wise move.

Zuma says the aim of the NGC over the next three days is to look at where the ANC is and what it needs to do in order to succeed.
