Multi-million rand upgrade for Hanover Park
The City of Cape Town plans to spend more than R621 million to improve services.
CAPE TOWN - Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille has announced a multi-million rand upgrade for Hanover Park over the next few years.
The city plans to spend more than R621 million which will be ploughed into improving services, among other things.
De Lille says since 2011 the municipality has invested millions in safety and youth outreach programmes in Hanover Park and the city will continue with these efforts.
She adds they will be working with the Hanover Park steering committee to help reduce the school dropout rate, address gangsterism and create jobs.
Committee members and city officials will soon embark on a door-to-door campaign, to inform locals of the ambitious plan.
