3 train carriages on fire in Cape Town
Three train carriages are on fire at the Muizenberg station in the Western Cape.
CAPE TOWN - Three train carriages are on fire at the Muizenberg station in the Western Cape.
Firefighters are on the scene trying to extinguish the blazes.
There are no immediate reports of injuries.
One witness described what happened, saying, "Within two to five minutes flames just burst up in one of the carriages. It looked like everybody got out of the train and it looked like an electrical fire."

Fire and Rescue Service's Liesl Moodie says it's not yet known what sparked the fires.
"Emergency services responded to the fire… The cause of the fire is still unknown and fire and rescue services are still in attendance."

Cape Town fire has confirmed all the passengers have been evacuated from the burning train and no injuries have been reported.
