WC MEC commits to stemming vigilantism
Dan Plato told Imizamu Yethu and Lavender Hill residents vigilante killings were a cause for concern.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Community Safety MEC has again called on communities to help police in the fight against crime.
In recent weeks at least eight people have been arrested in separate mob justice attacks across the city.
Plato says he will continue working with community initiatives in a bid to stem the violent scourge
"They believe vigilante attacks are correct. It was for me to address them in a meaningful way, to instil in them a different kind of mindset."
