Trevor Noah 'nervous, excited & happy' ahead of first show
The South African comedian will officially host his first episode of 'The Daily Show' tonight.
NEW YORK - Trevor Noah said he's feeling a mix of emotions ahead of hosting his first ever episode of The Daily Show.
The South African comedian will officially take over from Jon Stewart today.
The cool and calm Noah says he is going through all kinds of feelings ahead of his first show.
"I am nervous, excited and happy."
He likens the experience to skydiving.
"You control none of the elements. You control not the air nor the bird that may fly into you. All you know is that the ground is coming towards you, and you just have to rely on what you've done until that point to get you to where you need to go, and that is what I'm doing right now."
The show tapes today and airs in South Africa tomorrow at 9pm on Comedy Central.
