JOHANNESBURG - Emergency Management Services (EMS) have confirmed a light aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on the N14 highway towards Krugerdorp.

The microlight is believed to have been bound for Eagle Creek Aviation Estate.

It's been suggested the aircraft's engine may have failed, forcing the pilot to land it on the road's shoulder.

But there's been no confirmation of this from aviation authorities.

EMS's Nana Radede said, "We received a call about a plane that had just landed on the N14. There were injuries on scene."
