CAPE TOWN - The Masiphumelele community will today remember a 15-year-old boy who was murdered and allegedly raped at his family home.

A relative found Amani Pula's body in the dining room of their home last Tuesday, shortly after his mother left for work.

His killing comes as the community near Fish Hoek deals with at least three vigilante mob killings in less than two weeks.

A memorial service will be held for Pula in the township later today.

Friends and family have described the teenager as a fun loving boy who enjoyed playing soccer.

"He was just a nice boy; a boy that would go to school, come back home [and] go to sport. He was not a troubled boy".

The motive for his killing is still unclear.

Family members have told Eyewitness News they believe the boy was raped.
