CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has urged communities to continue giving tip-offs to police after a heroin bust in Hanover Park yesterday.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for the possession of heroin worth an estimated R175,000 and ammunition.

The City's JP Smith says the drugs were hidden in a pigeon cage.

"This is an example of how using informants and having a more intelligence driven approach, a more targeted approach, is allowing us to get ever closer to the drivers of this violence in the communities and ever closer to the ring leaders at the top of it."
