JOHANNESBURG - The State has told Sindisiwe Manqele that her version of events leading her to stab her rapper boyfriend is absolutely improbable.

Manqele is on trial in the High Court sitting in the Randburg Magistrates Court for the alleged murder Nkukuleko 'Flabba' Habedi at his home in Alexandra in March.

While she's admitted to intentionally stabbing him, she's adament she did so in self-defence.

Today's proceedings dealt extensively around how the knife used to stab Habedi, once in the chest, came to be in the hands of his girlfriend.

Manqele has been accused of lying and changing her story to suit her version of events.

She was asked by the court on two occasions to demonstrate how she gained possession of the knife.

The visibly agitated 26-year-old says she stabbed her rapper boyfriend because she was convinced he was going kill her.

But the State says they will prove that the accused is lying about her claims.

The trial has been adjourned until tomorrow.
