CAPE TOWN - A Masiphumelele priest has called on local residents to come forward with information following three murders and two alleged rapes in the area.

The separate incidents were all reported on Tuesday morning.

It's believed two of the victims were killed in separate apparent mob attacks.

In the first incident the body of 15-year-old Amani Pula was found in the dining room of his family home around 7am.

His relatives claim he'd also been raped.

In the second incident, a 32-year-old man was killed in an apparent mob attack after he was accused of the rape of a young woman in the community.

The third death of a man in his twenties is also believed to be linked to mob justice.

However, it's still unclear whether it's linked to any of the previous crimes.

Reverend Mfantholakele Madwe said they have been affected by the incidents.

"These incidents makes us feel sad and fearful."

Police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
