JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police have called on members of the public to come forward with any information that could help them arrest at least three people linked to an attempted business robbery in Woodmead.

Yesterday, a man and a woman claiming to be a couple entered a jewellery store at the Woodmead Retail Park.

The store's cashier was later confronted by a gun wielding man who joined the couple.

Police say the trio fled the scene after an employee pressed a panic button.

The police's Doniah Mothutsane says,"We ask members of the community, if they might have information that could lead to the identification or arrest of the suspects, to contact 08600 10111 or Crimeline on 32211."
