Benni McCarthy lands coaching job in Belgium
McCarthy's new role was announced alongside the club’s new head coach Chris O’Loughlin on Tuesday.
JOHANNESBURG - Former Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy has been appointed as Sint-Truidense assistant coach in Belgium, McCarthy confirmed via his Twitter account.

He shared the news after speculation about his possible appointment for the Belgian side on social media.
McCarthy's new role was unveiled alongside the club's new head coach Chris O'Loughlin on Tuesday.
He still holds a record as Bafana Bafana all-time leading goal scorer and he is currently still busy completing his Uefa A licence.
Most of his career took place in Europe, where he played for the likes of Ajax Amsterdam, Celta Vigo, Porto, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United.
McCarthy hung up his boots after spending almost two years at Orlando Pirates.
