Father suspected of killing four sons over lovers' spat
The Limpopo man is alleged to have killed his four sons because he was not on good terms with their mother.
JOHANNESBURG - A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his four children in Magatle, Limpopo.
Police say the killings happened on Friday night when the man returned from Gauteng where he had taken the children to visit their mother.
Spokesperson Ronel Otto says the suspect is recovering in hospital after he tried to take his own life.
"It's alleged that the man and his wife were not on good terms and after he visited her in Gauteng, he came back to the Magatle area where it is further alleged that he killed his four boys by slitting their throats with knife.
"He's currently in hospital and as soon as he's better, he will appear in court on charges of murder."
