ANCYL reminded not to lose sight of its responsibility
The league has elected new leaders at its 25 National Congress, who will hopefully restore the organisation.
JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has been reminded not to lose sight of its responsibility towards driving economic emancipation among the youth.
In his address earlier today President Jacob Zuma urged the league to work on creating a united force.
Today is the second day of the organisation's 25th National Congress.

Task team coordinator Nathi Mthethwa says members will meet to revive the Youth Leagues agenda.
"Economic freedom in their lifetime, discussions about that, economic emancipation of our people, our international relations."

The organisation was thrown into two years of turbulence shortly after the ousting of then leader Julius Malema.
Under the guidance of a national task team, the ANCYL has finally elected new leaders who will hopefully restore the organisation.
