CAPE TOWN - Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu's daughter, Mpho, will today give an update on his health.

He was again admitted to a Cape Town hospital last week.

At the time his daughter said her father was being treated for slight inflammation.

But at a briefing last week, Mpho insisted he is in good spirits.

He was re-admitted to an undisclosed hospital last week.

The Arch is receiving an intensive two-week course of intravenous treatment.

Mpho added although they are concerned about his well-being, there is no need for panic.

Last week, Mpho said although doctors have told them her father remains strong, he's taking longer to recover every time an illness hits him.

"The series of treatments that he has had over the years have also had an impact on the elasticity of his body and his ability to come back from an illness."

On the previous two occasions he was treated for a persistent infection.

Mpho said her father's current treatment has nothing to do with the prostrate cancer he's been battling over the last few years.
