JOHANNESBURG - Public Protector Thuli Madonsela will release her findings today into various allegations at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa).

Madonsela was tasked with investigating claims of financial mismanagement and tender and appointment irregularities.

Prasa meanwhile says it's implementing a clean-up strategy and dealing with what it calls several unruly employees.

Madonsela will hold a media briefing this afternoon.

Prasa has meanwhile been dealing with several issues, including the dismissal of its engineering head who lied about his academic qualifications.

Former CEO Lucky Montana, who had resigned earlier this year, was also relieved from his duties.

Dozens of employees demonstrated outside Prasa's offices last week, saying they're unhappy with the way the company is being run, but management says this only reflects a fraction of its 18,000 employees.
