JOHANNESBURG - It was celebrations all round for Orlando Pirates fans as the Sea Robbers beat AC Leopards 2-0 in the 2015 Caf Confederation Cup semi-finals at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening.

Pirates needed either a victory or a draw to secure a place in the semi-finals.

The opening stages of the Group B game was balanced, but Leopards got the first half-chance eight minutes into the game.

The Congolese side won the first corner of the match but it was Siyabonga Sangweni's solid defending that cleared the danger.

The Sea Robbers broke the deadlock through midfielder Mpho Makola in the 33rd minute which made the score 1-0.

Leopards then pressed the Pirates defence in search of the equalising goal, but Felipe Ovono and his Bucs backline managed to protect their lead heading into the half-time break.

The Bucs continued their high pressing game and in the 86th minute Lehlohonolo Majoro did well to find Oupa Manyisa at the far post.

Manyisa sealed his side's victory when he netted from close range.

The last time the two sides met a solitary strike from Happy Jele secured a 1-0 win in Congo.
