‘Tutu is in good spirits’

Desmond Tutu is on a new course of intensive antibiotic treatment that will continue for two weeks.

CAPE TOWN - Archbishop of Cape Town, Thabo Makgoba, says Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is in good spirits in hospital.

Tutu is on a new course of intensive antibiotic treatment that will continue for two weeks.

Makgoba and his wife visited the Arch on Wednesday.

"He is in good spirits. My wife and I visited the Arch yesterday; he was laughing so much but cried."

Tutu has been in and out of hospital several times this year.
